Driving Change, Creating Impact

🔹 I AM AWARE (IAA) Project - Empowering citizens with access to data and information to demand better public service delivery and accountability from local and national authorities.

🔹 EVIDENCE FOR DEVELOPMENT (E4D) Project - The Evidence for Development (E4D) project seeks to strengthen the capacity and motivation of policy actors to access and use relevant data and evidence to inform policy decision-making to improve social development outcomes at the subnational district
level in Ghana.

🔹 Citizen Awareness and Advocacy on Campaign Finance Reforms (CAACFiR) - Promoting transparency and accountability in political campaign financing by educating citizens and advocating for policy reforms.

🔹Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) - Simba Ghana in partnership with the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) is implementing the “Enhancing social cohesion and social contract, through the empowerment of women and youth in three northern regions of Ghana” Project, with funding from the United Nations (UN) Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) through United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The project seeks to prevent and address the root causes of localized and spillover conflicts and vulnerabilities to violent extremism in northern Ghana. A key intervention under the project implemented by Simba Ghana and CDD-Ghana is to support and strengthen social accountability practices for better local governance and improved service delivery across the three (3) project districts; Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri, Yunyoo-Nasuan, and Chereponi, all in the North-east region of Ghana.

🔹NEW GENERATION CIVIC SPACE ACTORS INTERNSHIP (GEN-Z CSA) PROGRAM- The GEN-Z CSA Program seeks to empower young people to become active civic space actors by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to advocate for transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance. By investing in the next generation of civic leaders, this program aims to strengthen democratic institutions and ensure the sustainability of civic spaces. The GEN-Z CSA Program represents a unique opportunity to empower the next generation of civic space actors. By investing in youth, the program aims to create a more inclusive, transparent, and accountable society. Through capacity building, mentorship, and innovation, young people are being equipped to lead the charge in defending and expanding civic spaces for future generations.

EVIDENCE FOR DEVELOPMENT (E4D) Project

The E4D Project strengthens evidence-based decision-making by equipping communities and policymakers with research-driven insights for sustainable development.

Impact Statement:
“The #E4D_Project has enhanced our capacities, and our Annual Action Plans (AAP) and Medium-Term Development Plans (MTDP) are now highly evidence-driven. We are strengthening Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and even plan to decentralize our M&E to the Zonal Council levels to make it more participatory.”

Simba Ghana is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working with underprivileged communities in Ghana to enhance safe spaces for young people, women, and girls; to build their capacities and effectively participate in processes and decisions where their voices are respected, considered, and promoted.
